inquire about availability
The first step is to call to inquire about availability. If I am available for your date, I will ask to set up a quick phone consultation. This allows me to get to know you a little better and I can ask you a few more detailed questions.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to provide an exact quote upon initial request. There are no floral packages, as each event is completely different and unique.

phone meeting
During the phone consultation I will ask you about your location, color palate, overall vibe and style. It gives me a chance to see if we are a good fit*. After the phone call, I will be able to create a “first-draft” estimate. I itemize things and I break it down as much as possible rather than sending you one large number. If you approve the estimate it is time to reserve your date with a deposit.
floral design consultation
After your wedding date is booked it is time for our official floral design consultation. This is typically done in person, but can also be via FaceTime or zoom. Please bring (or send) any relevant inspiration photos, color samples, and fabric swatches. It is helpful to see a floor plan, timeline, and list of other vendors. During this meeting we will go over your ideas and bring your vision to life. Each event is different and you have your own unique style and vibe. We will talk about all the details, and plan the floral decor around you.
After our meeting I will construct a customized floral design proposal with all of the details included. The design proposal is typically several pages long and includes a full list of design elements such as florals, rental decor, candles, linens, lanterns, etc.
We will continue to communicate and meet as needed, it is completely normal to edit and fine-tune your ideas. YFA is flexible and adaptable. You will be provided with a shop cell phone numberer easier communication.

One month before
One month from the event date we will schedule a time to talk and review final counts, delivery times, any last minute details. This is also when your final payment is due.
The month of your wedding is when I order your flowers, and start preparing the decor for your big day! My work begins weeks ahead of your big day.

the week of
The week of your wedding is a whirlwind around the flower shop. Your special day becomes my entire week. Flowers begin to be delivered about a week in advance, and I continue to get more throughout the week. They all need to be properly processed and kept at optimal temperature for each flower variety.
the big day
On your big day, we deliver and stay on site for any set up or installations. If day-of-coordination services are being used we will also stay throughout the event. We are there to repurpose any flowers from the ceremony to the reception, as well as break down and clean up at the end of the evening.
after
After your wedding or event, the flowers are yours to keep. All rented vessels will be collected by YFA during clean up or need to be returned by the agreed date. Often there are more flowers than you know what to do with so many brides choose to donate their flowers to a nearby senior living facility, or other location other choice. Please let us know if this is something that you would like us to arrange.
* When a client sends me a request I carefully review it to see if we are a good fit. I do not take every wedding or event that comes my way. I have learned from years of experience that quality is more important than quantity. I allow myself enough time to fully focus on each event. I will respond with an e-mail including the estimate sharing interest in working with you, or I will recommend other florists that I think would be more suited.
